Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Record and report vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates accurately.
- Assist with Daily Living: Help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide Emotional Support: Offer compassionate care and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems (EHR) and care logs.
- Assist Medical Staff: Support nurses and healthcare professionals with patient transfers, positioning, and procedures.
- Maintain Hygiene: Ensure patient rooms and equipment are clean, sanitized, and organized.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Certification: Current CNA certification (or eligibility to obtain) is required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for patient care and a patient-centered approach.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
