Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure their comfort and hygiene.
- Monitoring: Observe and report changes in patient's physical, mental, and emotional conditions to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse.
- Hygiene: Change linens, make beds, and maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
- Documentation: Accurately record patient vital signs, intake and output, and changes in condition in medical records.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients and the healthcare team, answering questions and providing emotional support.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Licensure: Current Wisconsin State CNA license (or eligibility to obtain one). Entry-level candidates with a strong interest in healthcare and a willingness to get certified are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of medical terminology and vital signs is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and a compassionate nature.
