Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper techniques to ensure safety.
- Prepare and serve meals, adhering to specific dietary restrictions and nutritional requirements.
- Document patient care activities, behaviors, and changes in condition in electronic health records accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or enrollment in a state-approved CNA program (if seeking trainee status).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
