Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Provide assistance with mobility, transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers safely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary requirements and preferences.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Change bed linens and maintain patient room cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of New York.
- Current enrollment in or completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
