Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Mobility Support: Help patients move safely between bed, chair, and wheelchair; assist with ambulation using walkers or canes.
- Feeding Assistance: Provide assistance with meal preparation and feeding for patients who require special dietary support.
- Observation: Monitor patients for changes in physical or emotional condition and report any concerns immediately to the nursing staff.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in patient rooms and common areas.
- Emotional Support: Offer companionship and engage patients in meaningful conversation and activities to reduce loneliness.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certification: Candidates must be willing to obtain a state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or certification. We offer training pathways for qualified candidates.
- Soft Skills: A strong sense of empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude are essential.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks such as turning and repositioning patients.
- Reliability: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen and provide reliable transportation.
