Responsibilities
- Patient Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in resident behavior, mood, or physical condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates as required.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents, including changing linens and assisting with mobility aids.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between residents and the healthcare team, ensuring their needs are voiced and addressed.
- Meal Assistance: Assist residents with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current Florida CNA License (or eligibility to obtain one via reciprocity).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and assist patients weighing up to 200 lbs; ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and patience when working with the elderly or chronically ill.
- Attention to Detail: Keen observation skills to detect potential health issues early.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
