Responsibilities

  • Patient Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in resident behavior, mood, or physical condition to the nursing staff immediately.
  • Personal Care Assistance: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates as required.
  • Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents, including changing linens and assisting with mobility aids.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between residents and the healthcare team, ensuring their needs are voiced and addressed.
  • Meal Assistance: Assist residents with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certification: Current Florida CNA License (or eligibility to obtain one via reciprocity).
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and assist patients weighing up to 200 lbs; ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
