Responsibilities

  • Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates as directed by nursing staff.
  • Assist with Personal Hygiene: Ensure residents maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness to prevent skin breakdown and infection.
  • Meal Assistance: Serve meals, assist with feeding residents who need help, and ensure proper nutrition and hydration.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care plans in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Safety & Comfort: Monitor residents for changes in condition and alert nursing supervisors immediately to ensure resident safety.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between residents, families, and the medical team to ensure everyone is informed of the resident's needs.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a CNA training program is preferred but not strictly required for entry-level consideration.
  • License/Certification: Current CNA certification or willingness to obtain certification within 3 months of employment (we provide resources to help you get certified).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and transfer residents (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
  • Compassion: A genuine passion for helping others and a strong desire to work in a senior care environment.
  • Reliability: Punctuality and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
