Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Communicate patient status and changes to the nursing staff and charge nurse promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current CNA Certification (Ohio or Illinois preferred).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with lifting/transfers.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use electronic health records (EHR).
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented attitude.
