Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Provide basic hygiene care and ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Document patient observations and care plans accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and family members regarding patient status.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas or meals as needed.
- Support medical procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- Strong desire to work in a healthcare environment with a caring attitude.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus but not mandatory.
