Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and in a safe environment.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing team to update them on patient status.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic medical records.
- Assistance: Help patients move or transfer to beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers using proper body mechanics.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: No prior experience required (Entry Level); however, clinical rotations or volunteer work in a healthcare setting is a plus.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed for extended periods.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for helping others and a strong desire to work in a healthcare setting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- License: Valid state-issued CNA certification.
