Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
  • Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, or surgeries, ensuring they are comfortable and informed.
  • Administer prescribed medications and document administration according to strict safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients, including changing linens and stocking supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move patients up to 50 lbs in a safe manner.
