Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
  • Monitor patient comfort levels and report any immediate changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
  • Support mobility by assisting patients with walking, transferring to and from beds or wheelchairs, and using walkers/crutches.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient environment, including making beds and sanitizing equipment.
  • Document patient care activities and observations accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered State of Tennessee CNA License.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed for extended periods.
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
