Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, according to hospital protocols.
- Assist patients with mobility, including walking and transferring to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Prepare patients for medical examinations and treatments, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare staff regarding patient status and needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of North Carolina required.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment.
