Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, according to protocol.
- Provide basic personal hygiene and comfort measures to ensure patient dignity.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients with special dietary needs.
- Document patient care activities and any changes in condition in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Current enrollment in a CNA or Medical Assistant program is a plus but not required.
- Strong desire to learn healthcare skills and provide compassionate care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) is required upon hire.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
