Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care as directed by nursing staff, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transferring from bed to wheelchair or walking.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with light meal preparation and feeding for patients with special dietary needs.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Report any changes in a patient's condition or behavior immediately to the Registered Nurse (RN).
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented nature.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- No prior experience required; we train motivated candidates!
