Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Transport patients using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds.
- Respond to patient calls and requests for assistance in a timely manner.
- Assist with medical equipment and supplies, ensuring the patient's room is clean and organized.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State Board of Nursing in Virginia.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and move patients as necessary (up to 50 lbs).
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
