Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring a sterile and comfortable environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and documented in patient charts.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient room environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Georgia.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and/or American Heart Association certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
