Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring a sterile and comfortable environment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and documented in patient charts.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient room environment.

Qualifications

  • Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Georgia.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and/or American Heart Association certification.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
