Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report significant changes to nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and daily progress.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to implement and adjust patient care plans.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care needs and expectations.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (State of Illinois).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) certification.
- Previous experience in a clinical or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to healthcare.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check.
