Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and walking, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation as required by facility policies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Florida CNA Certification.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation (preferred for facility travel).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not required.
- Physical stamina to perform the duties of the job, including standing for extended periods and lifting patients.
- Compassionate nature and a genuine desire to improve patient outcomes.
