Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians during diagnostic procedures and patient examinations
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKG procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic health documentation
- Sterilize medical equipment and maintain clean examination rooms
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with healthcare team
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic or experience with similar platforms)
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic phlebotomy and EKG certification preferred
