What You'll Do
Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Medical Procedures: Support nursing staff with wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection as trained.
- Maintain Patient Records: Document patient interactions and changes in condition in electronic health records (EHR) promptly.
- Communicate Effectively: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain Sanitation: Adhere to strict hygiene protocols and sanitize equipment and living areas to prevent infection.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of California.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred but not mandatory.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to listen and empathize.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Attention to Detail: Keen observation skills to notice changes in patient behavior or physical condition.
