Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Assist patients with mobility issues using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
  • Communicate patient changes in condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) and charge nurse immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Document all care provided and patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR) accurately.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must hold a current, unencumbered Colorado State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
