Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Communicate patient changes in condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) and charge nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Document all care provided and patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR) accurately.
Qualifications
- Candidate must hold a current, unencumbered Colorado State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
