Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient acuity using standardized triage protocols
- Provide rapid clinical evaluations for emergency and urgent care patients
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Delicate patient education on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
- Oversee triage flow during high-volume periods
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN)
- Minimum 3 years ER or urgent care experience
- ACLS/BLS certifications required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities across diverse populations
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- BSN preferred or equivalent experience
