Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any abnormalities to the Registered Nurse.
  • Assist with mobility and patient transfers using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and feeding schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment by following infection control protocols.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient status.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by the state of Georgia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, standing for long periods, and assisting with patient transfers.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
