Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient conditions, and care activities
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure resident safety
- Support nutritional needs by serving meals and assisting with feeding when necessary
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement individualized care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Report changes in patient status promptly to nursing leadership
Qualifications
- Active Illinois CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of long-term care or hospital experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and safety procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Compassionate approach with genuine interest in patient care
- Basic computer skills for documentation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
