Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking, transferring, and using walkers/wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Assist in the collection of specimens and documentation of patient care activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA Certification (Indiana State License required).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of basic life support (BLS) and CPR protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to patient dignity and respect.
