Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during difficult times.
- Assist with mobility issues, safely transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or chairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Document patient care activities and changes in their condition accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized environment to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Missouri.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and medical staff.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others and improve their well-being.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required by the role.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
