Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, intake/output, and behavior changes
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and therapeutic exercises
- Prepare and serve meals while accommodating special dietary needs
- Maintain clean, safe environments and infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Support emotional well-being through companionship and active listening
Qualifications
- Active Illinois CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year professional healthcare experience
- CPR/BLS certification from accredited provider
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Compassionate approach with commitment to dignity in care
- Reliable transportation for client visits
