Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal care plans are met.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the RN or Physician, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in compliance with OSHA and facility standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required and in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
