Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate and high-quality direct patient care to a diverse patient population.
- Monitor patient health status, including vital signs and pain levels, and intervene as necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Document patient history, assessments, and interventions accurately in electronic medical records.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition with clinical judgment.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
