Your Role
As a CNA at Charlotte Care Center, you will be the heartbeat of our patient care team. You will work closely with our nursing staff to ensure our residents and patients receive the highest standard of comfort and medical attention.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent pressure sores and ensure patient safety.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in accordance with facility policies.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team and physicians regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.
