Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with daily living activities and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Illinois.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 200 lbs safely.
- Compassionate, patient-oriented, and detail-driven approach to care.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or medical facility is preferred but not required.
