Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Document patient observations and care plans accurately and timely.
- Administer medications as directed by RNs or LPNs under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR/BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient dignity.
