Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Medication Assistance: Support patients with medication reminders and administration as directed by RNs and LPNs.
- Wound Care: Change dressings and monitor incision sites for signs of infection or complications.
- Communication: Maintain clear and accurate communication with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Documentation: Update patient charts and records in a timely and precise manner.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all.
Qualifications
- License & Certification: Must possess a current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Georgia.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- CPR Certification: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
