Responsibilities

  • Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate.
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide high-quality bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families during their stay.
  • Document patient care plans, observations, and changes in condition in electronic health records (EHR) promptly and accurately.
  • Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and mobility using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
  • Communicate critical patient updates to the nursing staff and charge nurse immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment in accordance with infection control protocols.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered Texas State CNA license.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, and move patients as required.
  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
