Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Document patient conditions and care plans in electronic medical records (EMR) as required.
  • Administer medication and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment to prevent infection and promote patient comfort.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required and in good standing with the state of Indiana.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
