Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established nursing protocols and hospital policies
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient assessments accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control standards
- Participate in shift handovers and team huddles for seamless continuity of care
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (or compact state eligibility)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- ACLS/BLS certification (or obtainable within 90 days)
- Clinical rotation experience in acute care settings
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
