Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the charge nurse immediately.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote comfort, safety, and dignity.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with hospital infection control policies and procedures.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Support patients and families during stressful times by providing emotional support and clear communication.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Missouri Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to start date.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
