Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents to enhance their quality of life.
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and nutritional needs.
- Document patient care information accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing required by the state of Kentucky.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or hospital settings is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform manual tasks.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment.
