Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
- Assist licensed nurses with medical procedures and patient mobility (turning and positioning).
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with facility protocols.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic health records (EHR) accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required for the state of Tennessee.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient dignity and safety.
