Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients; turn and reposition patients to prevent bedsores.
- Assistance: Serve meals and assist patients with feeding as needed; ensure proper hydration and nutrition.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities, changes in condition, and interventions in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Communication: Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and family members regarding patient status and care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, following established protocols and utilizing proper body mechanics.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Arizona.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
- Training: Must complete and pass the facility's specific competency evaluations and background check.
- Character: Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
