Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and promptly.
- Provide basic bedside care and support to patients under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or concerns to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Help patients with meal preparation and ensure they receive proper nutrition and hydration.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities and update care plans as necessary.
Qualifications
- Current and active State of Tennessee Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
- Physical stamina to perform standing, lifting, and walking for extended periods.
- Experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is a plus but not mandatory.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check.
