Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Administer medication as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Current State of New York Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented approach to patient care.
- Reliable transportation.
