Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration) according to established protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records (EHR) regarding patient condition, care provided, and changes in status.
- Communication: Serve as a vital link between patients, families, and the nursing staff, reporting concerns immediately.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, including bed-making and linens management.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to call lights and emergency alarms, following safety and infection control guidelines.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Oklahoma State CNA license.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of medical terminology, infection control procedures, and patient safety standards.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical maneuvers associated with patient care.
