Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with mobility and transfer patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers using proper body mechanics and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic care plans are followed.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, demonstrating calmness and efficiency under pressure.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Arizona CNA License required.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
