Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health status, including vital signs and physical condition, reporting changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Record patient information accurately and legibly in medical charts and care plans, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient care and concerns.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Current and active North Carolina CNA License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.
