Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with mobility, transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers using proper techniques.
- Document patient care activities, changes in patient conditions, and interventions accurately.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Collaborate with RNs and LPNs to implement and evaluate patient care plans.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered State of California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient dignity and privacy.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting preferred.
