Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Document patient care plans, changes in condition, and daily progress notes in electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with sanitation and infection control standards.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and physicians regarding patient needs and emergencies.
- Administer medication as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Washington State CNA license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
