Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and empathetic CNA to deliver exceptional care to our diverse patient population. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients' comfort and recovery while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures, changing linens, and ambulating patients.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient needs.
- Document patient progress and incidents accurately and promptly in electronic health records.
- Respond to patient calls and emergencies with urgency and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered State of Texas CNA license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine passion for patient-centered care.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
