Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients with dietary restrictions.
- Report changes in patient behavior, mood, or physical condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in care planning and team meetings to ensure holistic patient support.
Qualifications
- Current and active Kansas State CNA Certification (KSNPA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
